Employee Parking

Your Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) card has been programmed for the Employee Lot. In order for the AVI card to work properly, the card must be affixed to the lower left corner of the inside of the windshield 3” from the bottom and 3” over from the side.
It is very important that your AVI card works in sequence. The card must be used to enter then exit, enter then exit, and so forth. Any interruption in sequence will automatically disable your card and require reprogramming. Upon entry or exit to the employee lot, approach a gate and it will automatically raise if the AVI card is properly attached to the windshield.
A bus will pick you up and drop you off at any one of the five numbered bus shelters. To ensure a safe and timely trip to and from the terminal, drivers have been instructed to pick up passengers at the shelters and not at individual parking spaces. At the terminal the shuttle will drop you off and pick you up on the Arrivals Level just north of the center crosswalk.
The Employee Lot also has exit gates, it is very important that your AVI card works in sequence. The card must be used to enter then exit, enter then exit, and so forth. Any interruption in sequence will put your card into passback. To avoid this, do not use your card to let people in or out of the lot.
If the card does not work when you are trying to get in, park in the Blue Lot (Uncovered Only), pay to leave, get a receipt and the Columbus Regional Airport Authority will reimburse your parking up to one day, $7.00 only if there was a problem with the gate or your card. Eligible refunds will be issued for CRAA parking facilities only.
The following is a list of non-reimbursable actions or possible revocation of parking privileges if your card does not work and you have to pay for parking in a CRAA owned facility:
- Leaving your AVI card at home or in another vehicle.
- Following too closely to the vehicle in front of you.
- Not having your AVI card attached to the windshield.
If you paid a deposit and/or monthly parking fees directly to the Airport Authority, your deposit and any unused months of paid parking will be refunded to you by check within 30 days after you turn in your AVI card.
