  • Be innovative in the accomplishment of our duties and providing services with a purpose
  • Earn the respect of our community by consistently providing high-quality public safety and customer service

Become part of the team

We have been striving to become leaders in airport security and safety since 1995. Our goal is to create a work environment that fosters pride, purpose, and individual achievement and exemplifies the core values of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority: Accountability, Innovation, and Respect.

Providing high-quality safety and customer service drives us to succeed in our daily work. Our agency has obtained accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies Inc. (CALEA) since 2005.

Training and staying current are key to our success. Our officers complete 12 weeks of field training in addition to training required by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission. Officers are also encouraged to develop at least one specialty and the Columbus Regional Airport Authority supports the additional training.

Specialty positions include:

  • Narcotics task force
  • Canine (narcotics and explosive detection)
  • Training officer
  • Detective
  • Bicycle patrol officer
  • Community policing officer
